Dimestore defines alternative / funk/ back-up vocals. Blending pop, rock, jazz and funk, Dimestore offers listeners a new modern sound rooted in retro funk. The band embraces a basic but unique instrumentation with Mark Mann on lead vocals, Micheal Hermann III Esq. on electric cello and back-up vocals, Michael Henne on drums and back-up vocals, Brian Weakly on bass and back-up vocals and Jody Mosser rounding out the fivesome on electric guitars and backup vocals. Did we forget to mention back-up vocals?
Dimestore is in the production phase of their first EP entitled "Foolish Reasons" due out in the Fall of 2008. Dimestore's formula is very simple, embracing intelligent lyrics, a bucket of fried chicken and catchy song writing. Dimestore brings danceable melodies, heartfelt ballads and an element of old school soul-funk that are sure to provoke a reaction from every listener. Dimestore is currently entertaining both distribution and touring options at this time.
